Goldenfest is a fundraiser for Zekes Cancer Fund managed by GoldenRetriever Club of America (GRCA.org). & Hosted by Belle Shain Kennels
Mischief, Manners, & Fun! since 1958, Belle Shain is 34 acres located on the grounds of the historic Grand Hotel Fish Camp, on Fish River, iin Fairhope, AL.
The Plan:
November 16th, 2025, Sunday afternoon, We want to get as many Goldens as we can get together for a fun afternoon of play and group photo. We will have 3 sports events, 1 dance event, and 1 trick event. You may participate at will and as you wish. These are fun events and will not count towards any AKC title. This is a Family Fun event. This is also a Golden Retriever Event Only unless your Golden has a non Golden Housemate who will be welcome to attend as part of the family. Non Golden Owners or Golden Future Owners are welcome to attend as spectators.

FCAT
Learn Fast Cat! Its the 100 yard dash for dogs. One of the fastest growing AKC sports.

DockDiving
Learn about Dock Diving to pursue your AKC title!

Fetch
Learn the new AKC game of FETCH!

FOOD:
Provided by Tin-Tins Rock and Roll Food Truck at listed price. If you are not familiar, they are very popular and can be found on Facebook at Tin-Tins Rock & Roll Food Truck
DOCK DIVING:
We have a regulation dock and natural swimming pool. We have throw dummies or you can bring your own. Bring your own towel! Top 3 Dogs will receive a rosette for their placement. Furthest jump wins!
FAST CAT:
For the prey motivated, a hundred yard dash for our athletes. Dogs chase a plastic bag, "RABBIT", for 100 yards. Fastest Time Wins! Top 3 Dogs will receive a rosette for their placement.
FETCH:
Just for fun! We will have a Novice series, if time allows we will an Intermediate series. Toys or dummies will be thrown 30-50 feet in line of sight between boxes or in our case hay bales. Complete all 3 tosses and retrieves or if Intermediate 4 retrieves.
ENTERTAINMENT:
Ever find yourself Dancing with your Golden or learning a trick? We will end the afternoon with an opportunity for you to show us! We expect much fun will be had by all ! Your audience will decide who is most popular.
